Leaf: Since this tea leaf was finished using the CTC production style, it has a very different appearance than our other teas. CTC was first invented in the 1930’s and became very popular since this petite, rolled leaf was much faster to brew into a flavorful tea than the long leaf versions. The color of these beautiful pearls is a dark brown, almost black - accented with an attractive bloom on the exterior. Taste: Immersed in hot water, the precious pearls of tea leaves quickly release an enticing aroma. As can be expected from these potent blends, this full body tea has strong flavor which makes it especially suitable for mixing with milk and sugar - or as special ingredient for other beverages such as Chai tea. |
